2 oz (60 ml) bourbon or rye whiskey
1/4 oz (7.5 ml) Demerara syrup
3 dashes of Angostura bitters
6 drops of 10% saline solution
In a mixing glass, combine the sugar, water, and bitters.
Muddle the sugar and then add the whiskey.
Add ice and stir for 15 to 30 seconds.
Strain over a large ice cube into an old-fashioned glass.
Garnish with an orange twist.
